This year's Poppy Appeal in the Midsomer Norton and Radstock area has raised a record £16,017 so far.
Poppy Appeal Organiser, Heather Bray, who organises the annual collections on behalf of the local branch of the Royal British Legion, said they were thrilled with the response of the public and businesses to this year's appeal.

A new Midsomer Norton town archive is to be dedicated to the memory of a local artist who died earlier this year.
David Fisher, who lived in the town, died aged 66 in March and well as his art which won national acclaim he was also known for his love of local history.
