Group stages seasonal show

DRAMA group, Exit Stage Left (ESL) is preparing for an end-of-year show designed to raise the spirits and promises to make the audience laugh.

ESL present Honk!, a musical retelling of the Hans Christian Andersen story The Ugly Duckling, which follows an ugly duckling who discovers its inner beauty.

The story also features a tearful mother Ida, a drake who 'ducks' his fatherly responsibilities, a gaggle of comical geese and other such creatures with all manner of "fowl" puns.

Honk! runs from Thursday, December 4, to Saturday, December 6, at Kilmersdon Village Hall.

Performances start at 7.30pm and there is a 2.30pm matinee on the Saturday.
