Mendip hosted Swindon on a bitterly cold day at Norton Hill School.
Mendip settled into the game by forcing their opponents on to the back foot.
Although Mendip were missing skipper Hamilton due to injury, the midfield of Steele, Briscoe and Thacker combined well with the forwards.
The visitors were closed down and dispossessed before any real danger emerged.
The first break came when Lippiat struck the back board to add to his growing tally for the season.
Mendip did not have to wait much longer for their second goal, when Chip seized on his chance for glory.
Mendip continued to push forward, but the visitors showed that they too knew how to play and put pressure back on to the Mendip defence.
However, Baird and Western, ably marshalled by West, saw off any danger.
Mendip again showed their quality when the team combined to allow Smith to slam home a wonderful strike.
Swindon changed a few things around and tried to take the game to Mendip in the second period, forcing keeper Hobbs to show his athletic prowess, denying Swindon any chances.
Mendip scored another goal from the tireless stick of Briscoe.
Smith found the net again after another example of fast ball work combined with great support play.
Swindon were beaten, but Mendip showed no mercy and Smith added another goal to his collection.
On Saturday, Mendip face the tougher challenge of a visit to Chippenham, who always provide a tough contest.
