Memories and stories of life in Paulton and what villagers value about their heritage have been collected as part of on online archive.

The event formed part of the Quest project, which is creating the archive with communities across Bath and North East Somerset.

Taking part in the initiative were Terry and Caroline Wynne, who talked about their charitable work in the village.

The couple run the Paulton Hospital Charity Shop and have raised thousands of pounds.

The event was organised with Margaret Youngs, of the Methodist Church, and took place during a coffee morning.

Volunteers from the Quest project and Bath Spa University's history department have been carrying out the "people's survey" encouraging people to share a special person, place, building or object for the archive.

The survey coincides with an initiative to record local history in photos, stories and film.

The People's Archive is part of a national community movement to record people's history in the making. Share your photos, stories and films by visiting www.myquest bathnes.org.uk/content/category/ peoples-archive-2012.
