Radstock Co-op has been confirmed as a finalist in the Somerset Business Awards 2012, organised by the Somerset Chamber of Commerce.
The awards, which are in their eighth year, pay tribute to organisations that are innovative, progressive and profitable. This year has seen a 20 per cent increase in the number of entries.
Don Morris, chief executive of the Radstock Co-operative Society, said: "We are delighted to have made it through to the final stages of this prestigious award.
"Our colleagues have worked incredibly hard over the past few years as we have grown the business; our retail estate and farm, whilst producing sound financial results in this tough economic climate.
"Notwithstanding this, we have maintained and delivered our commitment to our customers, members and the communities in which we serve.
"We are proud of our achievements and I would be thrilled to receive this accolade on behalf of the society in recognition of the hard work and commitment of all our colleagues."
The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on Friday, November 16, at Somerset County Cricket Club.
