Traditional carols, songs, stories and music will be at the Old Down Inn, Emborough, on Sunday, from 8pm.

Following last year's sell out Christmas shows in Bristol and North Somerset, the popular Bristol Folk Group, The Hotwells Howlers are returning to present an evening of entertainment.

A special feature of the show will be a performance of the Harptree Mummers play, once a regular seasonal folk play of the Mendips and the Chew Valley.

The Hotwells Howlers are a Bristol-based group of 11 singers and musicians who sing traditional songs from the West Country.

They perform for the benefit of cancer and other charities, including St Peter's Hospice and Medecins sans Frontieres.

They have issued a well-received CD of Christmas songs, Angels A-Shouting.

For more information and to book tickets call Dave Byrne on 01761 419224. Admission costs £5.
