This Easter Tri.art Dance Academy are going to be very busy putting the finishing touches to their first full-length ballet.

The students will be attending a five day workshop at the end of which they will perform their version of the classical ballet Cinderella, choreographed by principal Amy Morgan-Bell.

With more than 50 students taking part, the show promises to be a full on spectacle of talent, striking costumes and beautiful dance.

Based on the Birmingham Royal Ballet's 2010 production, the story tells of the poor orphaned Cinderella, badly treated by her wicked stepmother and her two vain, stupid step-sisters as her dreams finally come true, and with the help of her Fairy Godmother and the spirits of the four seasons she is able to go to the ball.

The beautiful choreography is set to the stunning score of Sergei Prokofiev's Cinderella (1944) with inserts from The Seasons by Alexander Glasunov.

There are two performance on Friday, April 5 at 2pm and 6pm at the Merlin Theatre, Frome.

Tickets cost £7.50 (£4.50) and can be bought online at www.merlintheatre.co.uk or by calling the box office on 01373 465949.
