Jack Allward and Ben Osman have joined the majority of last season's squad in re-signing for Paulton Rovers.

More than 40 players, including the U18 squad, attended the first pre-season training session on Thursday, with George Booth, Sam Bailey and Lee Collier among those hoping to impress manager Nick Bunyard.

Rovers' pre-season friendlies start with the JJ Memorial Charity Cup, a mini-tournament that also involves Radstock Town, hosts Welton Rovers and Purnells.

Paulton take on Radstock on Wednesday, with Welton playing Purnells the following day. The final and third-place play-off will take place on July 17 and 18 (all 7.30pm).

Other pre-season friendlies for Paulton include trips to Odd Down on Monday, July 16, and Bitton on July 19 (both 7.30pm).

Rovers will also travel to Warminster on July 21 (6.30pm), Longwell Green on July 24 (7.30pm) and New Milton on July 28 (2pm).

The first home friendly is Dan Cleverley's testimonial against Bristol Rovers, where he started his career, on Wednesday, August 1.

Frome Town are the visitors for the final pre-season friendly on Friday, August 10 (7.30pm).

Jaymart Rubber & Plastics Ltd have become Paulton Rovers' main sponsor for the coming season. The Westbury- based company has the UK's largest selection of mats and matting.

A club spokesperson said: "We very much look forward to working with the directors and staff of Jaymart and hope to see as many of them as possible at Winterfield Road over the coming season.

"We hope it will be the start of a long-term relationship to the benefit of both."

Parker Transport will be the main shirt sponsors, while other new sponsors have also joined this season.
